Noteworthy Enhances Digital Print Offering

Amsterdam, NY – Noteworthy pioneered the concept of digitally printing on plastic bags in 2008 when it purchased its first digital press. "We spent over a year collaborating with a team of engineers to make this happen, and after launching our digital print offering we kept working to make it even better," said Anthony Constantino, VP of Operations at Noteworthy. "This year we made some major breakthroughs that will accelerate the switch to digital printing within our industry."

The first digital printing press was installed January 2008 and became operational March 1st. According to Gary Klee, Director of Marketing, "The response to digital exceeded our expectations. Distributors saw benefits to the new technology we did not anticipate, and really helped make us more forward thinking." Noteworthy began installing its second digital printing press in November, 2008. This second press will have the ability to do second side printing, a popular request. Beyond that, Noteworthy has enhanced its digital offering in a variety of ways for 2009. Based on distributor feedback, Noteworthy is offering:

This is in addition to the standard benefits associated with digital printing, including: 250 piece minimums, 10 day service, high-definition (900 dpi) printing, no plate charges, no PMS color match charges, and no change of imprint charges. According to Carol Constantino, "The ability to digitally print on plastic is the most dramatic improvement in printing technology we encountered since our company was founded 50 years ago. We've never been this excited about a new product."
